What Happens Next?

That was the question after Stormrider hit the shelves. The answer was the next and what would be the final part of the story, A New Dawning. Once things changed, that title just didn't seem to work, so it was changed to the more simple A New Dawn. Below are the original covers showing a rose-colored theme for the last book along with the warning that it wasn't finalized.

The cover art for A New Dawning has not been finalized and may change yet.

Reviews!

This is the second book in the series and after reading the first, I was really excited to read this one.
This book begins with completing the unfinished business from book one and it was well done. I am quite impressed with the extravagant creativity that shines all throughout this novel.
Hellion and Fire, the leaders of the Free People are once again tested over and over again in this novel. Their intelligence, war strategy, and courage are unwavering when it comes to fighting for the lives of their people.
This book is endlessly entertaining. There are multiple pieces of the story being told at once, only to come together and deliver this skillfully crafted world.
The characters are all very believable and easy to relate to. I find myself very attached to several of them and am quietly rooting for them in the background. They are designed with their own flaws and their own personalities and once you are immersed in this world, you will want to keep reading about it.
The author has created a well-written story about an intricate and unique world. The different clans, people, and lands throughout the book are all well thought out and described in great detail.
This story shows the existing alliances of the clans and how quickly they respond to a call for help. It also shows the beginning of new alliances and the compassion of the Free People to help those in need.
So far I have been deeply impressed with this author and the series and can't wait to read the next book.

Five Stars

After reading the first book in the series, I was looking forward to its sequel and I wasn’t disappointed.

Picking up after the events in the first book, it focuses mainly on the tigress Fire as she struggles to fulfill her destiny and bind the different peoples together under the threat of invasion by a tyrant ruler named Scorpion.

Despite the focus being on Fire, there is plenty of action and problems for Hellion to deal with, but what impressed me the most was the way so many intricate storylines were tied together in a tidy knot. It’s easy to become lost when working with so many characters and subplots. That and the smooth manner in switching scenes made this an easy and fun read.

The characters were believable and rich. Even the main antagonist, Scorpion, kept things interesting as the author kept him fresh enough to avoid being the stereotypical villain. There’s nothing worse than being able to tell what a character will do before hand, so I enjoyed when my expectations were dashed. I especially enjoyed the ending with the tyrant.

I really enjoyed the story and look forward to the third book in the series and other works by the author.
