A New Dawn

The final book in the Trials of the Clans trilogy. More than 20 years have passed in the lives of Fire and Hellion. Their children have grown, the world around them has changed, and they have enjoyed the peace they forged so long ago. They have also watched and waited...for what, they never knew.

But now, suddenly it looms before them.

A new enemy comes for them, with no desire for their lands or their wealth. It comes for something more precious than either to them. It comes for their souls. It comes to take their Goddess away.

While Hellion and Fire try to understand this new threat, an older and far more sinister threat returns. They find themselves caught between the proverbial rock and the deep blue sea. Once more, the Six Armies must unite to save their world from complete and utter destruction.

And while they do, a younger daughter of the Clan sets off to find the meaning of why they are here. What she finds is a shocking tale that begins before the Clans existed...and what changed that world into the one she lives in now.

And as the seeds of rebellion took hold in the cities and markets of Myrr, the burning granaries of Kersey forced Governor Black from his bed earlier than he wished and he now rode towards them with the same thoughts of rebellion in his head. Across the river and away from his anger, Midnight sat in her make-shift bed and watched as the raiding party unloaded the wagons filled with grains and sent them to the bakers. Others unloaded the meats and vegetable they had come across as well.
“So what do you think of our operation here?” asked Marus as he handed her a cup of hot tea. “Have you ever seen anything to rival this? We are twelve thousand strong and yet no one knows we are here and have been for the past twelve years.”
“You flatter yourself Marus,” she replied quickly. “I can almost guarantee you that Haze and Apache know you are here. And if they know, then Hellion knows as well. They just choose not to address it yet. You really have no idea of how my people think, do you?”
Marus looked down as he allowed the words of the young tigress to sink in. Had he really been naive enough to think he had kept this hidden from the clans? After all, hadn’t this girl just walked up behind him the night before as silently as snow falling?
“Don’t be so discouraged,” she laughed as she looked at his face. “Just because they haven’t addressed you doesn’t mean anything. It’s our way to wait and be patient. You have been honest with me, invited me to see your lives and homes down here, and now I will return the favor. I will be your liaison with the Free People. I will try to teach you our ways and how we think. Then I won’t have to see those mournful puppy eyes again.”
“I accept!” laughed Marus. “It appears I need all the help I can get when it comes to the clans.
